The IPCP sign-on campaign to voice support for establishing a global science-policy body on chemicals and waste, akin to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services.
Nearly 2100 scientists & practitioners from over 90 countries have signed-on.
In August of 2018, the ‘Zürich Statement on Future Actions on Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFASs)’ was published in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives outlining a set of needs, goals, and actions to cooperatively work toward a more efficient and effective assessment and management of PFASs.
An International Panel on Chemical Pollution, IPCP, was established in 2018 as an international network of scientists from all regions of the world who share, compare and evaluate results of their research, identify areas in which a consensus has been reached, and specify major uncertainties and research needs.
