List of Projects Carried out by the International Panel on Chemical Pollution (IPCP)
- Training on risk assessment of chemicals at national level in a global context. Project duration: 2010–2015. A multi-country project funded by the SAICM Quick Start Programme and implemented in collaboration with the governments of Armenia, Chile and Ghana, including training workshops in all three countries.
- Workshop and working group on Planetary Boundaries for Chemical Pollution. Project duration: 2012–2014, results published in 2015: Diamond et al. (2015) Exploring the Planetary Boundary for Chemical Pollution, Environment International.
- Conducting measurements of newly listed persistent organic pollutants as part of the Global Monitoring Plan of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants. Project duration: 2013. A UNEP/GEF commissioned project for measurements of POPs in three UN regions (Africa, Pacific Islands, Latin America and Caribbean). Results published by Bogdal et al. (2013) Worldwide Distribution of Persistent Organic Pollutants in Air, Including Results of Air Monitoring by Passive Air Sampling in Five Continents, Trends in Analytical Chemistry.
- Preparation of three overview reports on Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs). Project duration: 2016–2017. Commissioned by UNEP.
- Preparation of summary reports on the six Emerging Policy Issues and the two Other Issues of Concern under SAICM. Project duration: 2017. Commissioned by UNEP, reports on all eight issues used as basis for Chapter II/4, Emerging Policy Issues and Other Issues of Concern, of the Global Chemicals Outlook II published by UNEP in 2019.
- Mapping and gap analysis of science-policy interface bodies in the area of chemicals and waste. Project duration: 2018–2019. Funded by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment. Report published in 2019: Wang et al. (2019) Strengthening the Science-Policy Interface in International Chemicals Governance.
